Sodium silicates with a high SiO2/Na2O ratio are very useful as adhesives in cardboard tube winding. Their higher content of polymeric silica results in strong and rigid bonds.
Our sodium silicates can be adjusted regarding SiO2/Na2O ratio and solid content to meet your exact needs. They can also be modified with additives to reach optimum performance. SILMACO has developed sodium silicate based binders for both parallel and spiral wound tubes.
